![]() ![]() How to force an app to quit on your Mac If an app on your Mac stops responding and you can't quit the app in the normal fashion, use Force Quit to close the app.For this, select unneeded launch agents and login items and click Remove. ![]() ![]() You can even remove startup items from your Mac if you wish. Select unneeded apps and switch their toggle buttons or click the Disable button. To uninstall the GlobalProtect app from your endpoint, install the GlobalProtect software package, and then launch the GlobalProtect Installer. On Mac endpoints, you can use the Mac installation program (in this case, the GlobalProtect Installer) to uninstall a program.To send a signal to a process, select it in the process list, choose View > Send Signal to Process, choose a signal from the pop-up menu, then click Send. To see if a process is used by another process, choose View > All Processes, Hierarchically. If the process is used by other apps or processes, those apps or processes could experience problems. If the process has files open, you may lose data. If quitting the process could cause data loss or interfere with another app, the process doesn’t quit.įorce Quit: The process quits immediately.
